MAINE STUDIO HOME

Project Description:

This senior studio group project is for a client that is looking to retire in a serene environment after working at a university for the past 20 years. This client is building on a plot of land he bought in Northeast Maine, along the coastline. Looking for a 1–2-bedroom house, with an artist studio and great room that utilizes the scenic water views. Overall, this space needs to be adaptive for future uses and have a resale value. In this team project, all members came up with bubble diagram for initial space planning which we then pulled aspects from all of us to create our final layout. My contribute to the team was building the revit model of our house to use for 3D views, and rendered using Enscape. Post production was then completed in photoshop.

CONCEPT:

John's studio home is designed to be his refuge where he can be creative, make a cup of coffee, go back to work and enjoy life. It's a cozy, warm, relaxed place where he isn't under any kind of pressure. Perfect to get the creative juices flowing while remaining safe, secure and stress free.

This site model was built in 1"=10' scale in our universities maker space. We used a laser cutter to cut the topography of the site and 3D printed the houses exterior from our revit model.
